This tour is a walk by Vespa among the alleys of the Elymians-Phoenician territory and the typical medieval streets of Erice, a little Medieval village from which we admire the Egadi islands and Trapani.

Trapani has a millennial history; it was the port of Erice and a village for fishermen.

Nowadays it keeps the traditional business like the fishing, the trade, the production of the sea salt and the coral manufacturing.

Trapani has a scythe shape and for its strategic position it is known as the city between the two seas, a land which is flowed through the Tyrrhenian sea, in the North side, and the Mediterranean sea, in the South one.

Walking through the historic centre, we can see the influence of the different dominations: the Arab and Jewish quarters, the Medieval ruins as the majestic Colombaia, the Baroque churches and palaces, also influenced by the Spanish people.

From the scenic tour towards Erice, you’ll enjoy the view of Trapani and its sea and the Egadi islands. On the top of Monte San Giuliano, there is Erice – a little Medieval city known all over the world and which gained the title of the “Most beautiful village of Italy“.
Erice is famous for its Medieval signs, the little and curvy alleys, the typical medieval arches, the decorated courtyards and the little shops where to buy the typical ceramics and carpets.

Who don’t know the typical and traditional sweets of Erice? There are the genovesi, before made by the nuns and today cooked by the pastry chefs from Erice.
